As one of the most iconic images of Scotland, Eilean Donan is recognised all around the world. Situated on an island at the point where three great sea lochs meet and surrounded by some majestic scenery, it is little wonder that the castle is now one of the most visited and important attractions in the Scottish highlands. The perfect spot for the whole family to enjoy a highland hike.
As with all Gibsons jigsaws, we use 100% recycled puzzle board, FSC paper and work with the best artists from all around the world. The beautifully illustrated pieces are designed to fit perfectly with no puzzle ‘dust’, in fact, we use the thickest puzzle board on the market.
Same great puzzles, kinder to the environment. This jigsaw puzzle is planet-friendly. Not only does the box have a fresh new look, but we’ve used biodegradable clear labels to secure the lid instead of shrink wrap to reduce our plastic waste. There is a gloss varnish on the box for extra protection, to ensure your puzzle doesn’t get damage and the pieces are stored in a plastic bag that can be recycled by some councils.
Because the box is slightly smaller than our previous designs, we need less room to transport our products which reduces our carbon footprint and means you can store your puzzles more easily. We have also popped an artwork poster inside for you to reference whilst you piece together your lovely jigsaw puzzle.

Art has been a constant in Czes Pachela’s life. After graduating from Bradford College of Art & Design in 1976 with a diploma in Plastics Design & Technology along with a degree in 3D Art & Design, Czes worked on a short term contract with the BBC in the props department making sets and models for various programs of the day. Full time employment began with a greeting card company called Creative Cards Ltd and after three years of learning the trade became studio manager.
In 1980 following a chance meeting with an art agent, Czes was convinced to go freelance and began Pachela Studios. This turned out to be an excellent decision as it brought varied work and notoriety.
With a career spanning over four decades, Czes Pachela has worked for many varied
clients such as; Hallmark, American Greetings, Gibson, Kingsley Cards, Simon Elvin, WH
Smith, Marks & Spencer, Barnes and Noble, Woolworth's & Thomas Nelson,
Ravensburger, Gibson’s, Jumbo and The House of Puzzles to name but a few.
